With kids' wear, comfort is the whole point. The right fabric keeps them cool, moves with them and survives a great many washes.
Choose soft, breathable naturals
Pure cotton and cotton blends are hard to beat for children — soft, breathable and gentle on sensitive skin. Look for smooth seams and covered elastics that won't rub.
Built to be washed (a lot)
Kids' clothes get washed constantly, so durable stitching and colour-fast dyes matter. Wash in cold water and dry in shade to keep colours bright for the next sibling too.
Room to grow
Sizing by age is a starting point — check the chest and length on each product. A little room means more months of wear.
